Get ready for faster internet
with no extra cost

Find out if your home is eligible for a free fibre upgrade and what it means for you and your family.

The nbn® fibre upgrade is a government backed initiative as part of their commitment to improving the overall quality of internet for the country. Over the next two years, millions of homes will become eligible for a free fibre upgrade from FTTN (fibre to the node) and FTTC (fibre to the curb) to FTTP (fibre to the premise).

Why do I Need to Upgrade?

Free Installation

Free Installation

Free standard setup saves you thousands of dollars to install. As part of the government nbn® rollout, you can upgrade at no cost to you.

Higher Speeds

Gain Access to Higher Speeds

FTTC and FTTN connections are limited to 50 Mbps. Upgrade to FTTP and unlock speeds up to 1,000 Mbps — 20× faster.

Reliable Internet

Faster, More Reliable Internet

Fibre has a much lower connection drop rate and is far less likely to experience dropouts or interruptions to your service.

What should I expect next?

When upgrading to fibre, installation changes will need to be made to your home. Here's how that will look.

1

We Transfer Your Existing Connection to Our Network

To minimise downtime, we transfer your existing connection to our network first while you wait to be upgraded to fibre.

The first available nbn® appointment is scheduled for your fibre install — usually within 7–14 days. You can reschedule at any time.

An nbn® technician will come to your premises and install the fibre optic cable. Upgrades typically take only 1–2 hours to complete.
