Checking availability first helps determine exactly what's available at your address, so you can pick the right plan.
Most nbn® connections are activated within a matter of days, though it can vary depending on your connection type, whether a technician needs to visit your property, and whether an AVC ID was provided on service transfer. Our team will keep you updated via email throughout the whole process, so you know exactly when you're expected to be connected.

Absolutely. Given that your modem router is compatible with your connection type and is capable of handling the bandwidth of your selected plan, your internet should connect with minimal configuration needed. However, we do highly recommend upgrading your modem if it is 5 years or older. With technology constantly advancing, older modems may struggle to handle modern day high speed nbn® plans.
Switching providers is straightforward and we handle most of the process for you, including coordinating the transfer date with NBN Co so your connection stays active during the changeover. You won't usually need to contact your old provider first, as cancellation is often triggered automatically once your new service is activated. We recommend checking your current contract for any early termination fees before switching, though our plans are contract free once you come across.
